The Library Foundation raises funds to support the After-School Computer Aides program.

These part-time aides help students and other library patrons use library computers and electronic information resources efficiently and appropriately. The aides, who are often high school or college students, work during the very busy after-school hours. They have a good knowledge of computers and are proficient in math and English, as well as having strong "people" skills. They instruct students in the use of computers, printers, the Internet, Library databases, and software programs (i.e. word processing, graphics), and help with basic research techniques. Aides trouble-shoot computer problems, help parents of small children use the specially designated Kids Path computers, and maintain use statistics.
