Adult Literacy Services
At 21 centers throughout the Los Angeles Public Library system, tutors work one-on-one with adult learners to reach the goal of reading and writing at the 6th grade level.

Read to Me L.A.
This program teaches parents and other caregivers how and why to read to young children in a way that builds their pre-literacy skills in preparation for success in school.

Grandparents and Books
An award-winning, citywide, intergenerational reading enrichment program where adult volunteers read aloud to young children after school and on weekends throughout the year.

Children's Summer Reading Club
Designed for ages preschool to 12 years old and held throughout the Los Angeles Public Library system to encourage reading for fun and maintain academic progress over the summer months.

Teen's Summer Reading Club
A citywide summer reading enrichment program to cultivate a lifelong love of reading among ages 12 to 18 years old.

Performing Books
A program featuring professional artists who bring stories alive through song, dance, voice, and gestures.
