Library Steps Tie

The Library Steps tie was based on Jud Fine's steps design for the Central Library's Maguire Gardens. The four sections of steps represent eighty selections from different approaches to written communication. The first section contains the archaic scripts (the first step is blank to represent the unfathomable past); the second, the emergence of writing; the third, the growth of print and graphic production; the fourth, the post literate period (the last step is blank to represent the unknown future).

Josh Bach Neckwear is a unique line of pure silk neckties which incorporates everyday images, icons, and graphics. Both cleverly patterned and beautifully colored, it's a line that is at once whimsical and witty, yet elegant and wearable. As a formally trained architect who became an art director, Josh draws from his rich experiences in both disciplines to create ties of striking originality.
