The three galleries at the Central Library produce a rotating series of exhibitions that enhance the Library's role in the cultural life of Los Angeles; draw new visitors to the Library; and make the Library's collections accessible to the public. The exhibitions are free to the public and are open during library hours.

The Getty Gallery and Annenberg Gallery are located on the second floor, off the Rotunda; the First Floor Galleries line the walkway between the historic and new Library buildings.
