Literary Feasts

The Literary Feasts Celebrating the Los Angeles Public Library is a bi-annual event presented by the Library Foundation and The Council of the Library Foundation.

This unique and extraordinary evening celebrates distinguished authors from around the country as honored dinner speakers in the most beautiful private homes in Los Angeles.

The upcoming 2011 Literary Feasts will be held on Monday, November 7. On that one evening across the entire city, members of our supportive Los Angeles community open their homes to host over 50 dinners. Each dinner features a selected author who joins the table for an intimate setting of literary camaraderie and conversation.

Distinguished writers who have participated in past feasts include: business leaders and luminaries such as A. Scott Berg, T.C. Boyle, Kirk Douglas, Elmore Leonard, W.S. Merwin, Jane Smiley, and Gore Vidal.

Funds raised from the 2011 Literary Feasts benefit the library’s educational programs that focus on children and teens.
