Annie Leibovitz
Pilgrimage: A Photo Lecture
One of America’s great photographers chooses sites of personal meaning—from Thoreau’s cabin to Robert Smithson’s Spiral Jetty, from Gettysburg to Yosemite—as an exercise in renewal, and “learning to see again.”
Annie Leibovitz's observations of American popular culture appeared first in her work for Rolling Stone in the 1970s and have continued through her long affiliation with Vanity Fair and Vogue. Leibovitz is the recipient of many honors, including the International Center of Photography's Lifetime Achievement Award. She was designated a Living Legend by the Library of Congress.
