The Literary Feasts is a bi-annual event presented by the Library Foundation and The Council of the Library Foundation. On Monday, November 2 over 50 dinners, each featuring a distinguished author, will be take place in some of the most beautiful homes in Los Angeles.
Distinguished writers who have participated in past Feasts have included business leaders and luminaries such as A. Scott Berg, Michael Crichton, Janet Fitch, David Halberstam, Maxine Hong Kingston, Charlie Munger, and Gore Vidal.
Funds raised from the 2009 Literary Feasts will benefit library educational programs focusing on children and teens, technology and adult literacy.
Unless otherwise indicated, ALOUD programs take place at the Los Angeles Central Library's Mark Taper Auditorium, 630 W. Fifth Street, Los Angeles, CA 90071.
