Historical maps largely unseen for 100 years, classroom maps from the early 1900s and maps representing a wide range of styles and periods were on display in the exhibit "L.A. Unfolded: Maps from the Los Angeles Public Library" at Central Library's Getty Gallery from October 15, 2008 through March 29, 2009.
Exhibitions at Central Library
From a wealth of historical maps from the Los Angeles Public Library's extensive map collection to the ground breaking, color-saturated photographs of Paul Outerbridge, the three gallery spaces at Central Library presented a number of compelling exhibitions all free to the public and made possible by the Library Foundation of Los Angeles.
